According to 1375 Hijri in 1956, Shamsul Haque established
Faridpuri Madrasa. Named after Haji Imdadullah Muhajire Makkir . The first
murabbi and mutawalli of this institution was himself and the Muhtamim was his
classmate Muhammadullah Hafezzi Huzur . Befaqul Madarisil Arabia Bangladesh was
established in 1978 in this madrasa and the head office of BEFAK was also in
this madrasa for almost a century since its establishment.
Location and volume
Madrasa is located in Gandaria area of old Dhaka on the
banks of Buriganga River in Dhaka, Bangladesh . Total Area of Madrasah: 4.6
Acres. There are four buildings around the Belal Mosque on the west side. Eight
multi-storied hostels and educational buildings. Apart from two open libraries,
there are separate libraries for fatwa section and monthly blessings.
Education system
More than two and a half thousand students are studying here
in Maktab, Hefzkhana, Kitab department and Fatwa department. Along with
studies, students' morals and self-improvement are also given equal importance.

monthly blessing
A monthly magazine called Neemat is published as the
mouthpiece of this madrasa. Shamsul Haque Faridpuri founded it in 1937; But its
publication was stopped in 1991. It is being republished from 2013 after 21
years. The executive editor of the newspaper is Mutiur Rahman.
